The Sports Unit of Istanbul Gedik University plans and carries out activities aimed at supporting students’ physical, social, and personal development alongside their academic success. Recognizing the positive impact of sports on individual development, healthy living, teamwork, and institutional belonging, the unit aims to promote a strong sports culture throughout the university.
The Sports Unit encourages students as well as academic and administrative staff to participate in sporting activities and coordinates recreational sports events together with interuniversity sports organizations.
Within this scope, students are provided with opportunities to participate in various sports branches according to their interests and abilities, while the establishment and development of university teams representing Istanbul Gedik University are actively supported.

During the 2025–2026 Academic Year, Istanbul Gedik University sports teams successfully represented the University by achieving 5 National Championships, 4 National Runner-up Titles, 11 National Third-Place Finishes, and 1 Istanbul Third-Place Finish across both individual and team sports.
