The Istanbul Gedik University Infirmary provides services to support the health and safety of our students, academic staff, and administrative personnel.
Nursing Services
The nurse working in the infirmary unit is responsible for:
- Providing initial assessment and first aid for health problems and injuries that may occur on campus,
- Performing basic health measurements such as blood pressure, pulse, body temperature, and blood glucose levels,
- Providing basic medical care and wound dressing services,
- Referring individuals to healthcare institutions when necessary,
- Offering health-related information and counseling services.
These services are provided by the infirmary unit.
Occupational Health Physician Services
Within the scope of occupational health and safety services for university employees, the occupational physician is responsible for:
- Conducting pre-employment and periodic medical examinations,
- Carrying out employee health surveillance,
- Performing fitness-for-work evaluations,
- Implementing measures to prevent occupational accidents and diseases,
- Assessing workplace health risks,
- Planning preventive healthcare services and health training programs,
- Contributing to the activities of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee.
These activities are carried out on an ongoing basis.
Our University continues to provide health and safety services for our employees and students in accordance with the relevant legislation.
